An interactive art event was held at a sake brewery in Nishinomon-cho, Nagano City, where participants enjoyed painting while savoring Japanese sake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project introduced to the local tourism scene a style popular in Europe and the United States\u2014\u201cpainting masterpieces with a drink in hand.\u201d The event was organized in collaboration between SAKE ART and Nishinomon Yoshinoya. On the day, participants sampled locally brewed sake, including Junmai Daiginjo, and completed Katsushika Hokusai\u2019s famous work The Great Wave off Kanagawa<\/em> (from the series Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji<\/em>) in approximately two hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With attentive support from instructors, even beginners were able to relax and immerse themselves in the artistic experience. The event also fostered interaction among participants. By utilizing the traditional space of a sake brewery, this initiative demonstrates how existing tourism resources can be enhanced with new experiential value, expanding the possibilities for tourism development within the prefecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
